Q: What are 3 words you would use to describe Madeira to someone?
Welcoming, home, supportive
Q: In what ways have you changed since coming to Madeira?
I have become more independent and have found my voice in life. I have gone from being a shy girl to a girl who is not afraid to go out in the world and voice my thoughts.
Q: Describe your favorite Madeira memory.
My favorite Madeira memory is my first day of senior year. Getting to wear all white for the first time really made it real to me that I was a senior! This memory is my favorite because it brought my class together as a whole and reminded me that I only have one more year left in high school!
Q: What is your favorite Madeira tradition and why?
My favorite Madeira tradition is Thanksgiving dinner. I love this tradition because it brings the whole community together and gives a time to reflect on everything we are grateful for.
Q: What is one piece of advice you would give a student who is interested in attending Madeira?
Do not be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. Try new things and take advantage of everything that is offered to you.
Q: What is your favorite class and why?
My favorite class is AP Chemistry. It is a very challenging class but I enjoy the challenge! I always look forward to learning new material.
I am a member of Nation’s Capital Swim Club and the Madeira Varsity Swim Team.
Q: How has Madeira made you a better athlete?
Madeira has made me a better athlete by supporting me and giving me the opportunity to become a leader.
Q: What is the best thing about living near Washington, D.C.?
The best thing about living near D.C. is that there is always something to do. You can go shopping, eat at amazing restaurants, go to concerts, and tour museums! It is a city full of powerful people and history!
