Important Dates

The 2018-2019 Important Dates calendar is posted below. Please keep these important dates in mind as you make travel arrangements.

When booking flights, schedule travel at least two hours after the noted release time, three hours for international travel. Girls may not depart until after their last obligation (class, activity, sport or theater practice). Please check the calendar for the most up-to-date information.

** Possible Saturday Classes are dates held for possible Saturday classes in the event a make-up day is needed because of snow or other school closures. All students must be available to attend school this day if needed. *On-campus Weekends are weekend in which all boarding students are required to stay on campus. There will be school events and outings planned for this weekend.

2018-2019 Fall Varsity Tryouts and Auditions, Move In, and Orientation Dates  

Preseason participants include: all JV and Varsity athletes, all students auditioning for the fall play and members of Dance Select (returning dancers only)

    August 2018
M-F 20-24 Optional Strength & Conditioning for new and returning student athletes 
(Dorms are not open.)
Th 23 Invited student leaders move in and register, 3:00-6:00 p.m.; boarding and day student leader training begins 6:00 p.m.
F 24 Student Leader Training continues, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
Sa 25 Returning students participating in Preseason Fall Tryouts & Auditions move-in and day students check-in (Varsity & JV) 1:00-5:00 p.m.
 Su  26 ALL new boarders move-in and new day students check-in, 8:00-11:30 a.m.
    New parent & student programming (full day)
M 27 Preseason and Orientation programming for all preseason participants and all new students (all day)
    New Parent Programming (through midday)
T 28 All remaining boarding seniors move-in and day student seniors check-in, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
    Senior College Counseling Programming (Required for ALL Seniors), 11:30 a.m.
Th 30 Remaining returning 10th & 11th grade students move-in and day students check-in, 8:00-11:30 a.m.

 F  31  MODULE 1 begins
     Opening Convocation and first day of classes, 8:30 a.m.
F-Su 31-2 On-Campus Weekend
    September 2018
Sa 1 Varsity and JV teams will practice, actors will audition; 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; REQUIRED
M 3 Labor Day - Classes WILL be held
Th 6 School Picture Day
F-Su 7-9 On-campus weekend*
F-Sa 28-29 Family Weekend
    October 2018
M 1 No class held
M 8 Columbus Day, Classes WILL be held
M 8 MODULE 2 begins
W 10 PSAT on campus for 10th & 11th grades begins
    November 2018
Sa 3  Module 2 weather makeup day
M 12  MODULE 3 begins
F 16  Thanksgiving break begins after last obligation (class, activity, athletic or theatre practice)
Sa 17  Dorms close, 12:00 p.m.
Su 25  Dorms re-open, 9:00 a.m. (Boarders must return by 7:00 p.m.)
    December 2018
F-Su 7-9  On-campus weekend*
Sa 15  Module 3 weather makeup day
Th 20 Winter break begins after last obligation (class, activity, athletic or theatre practice)
Fr 21  Dorms close, 12:00 p.m.
    January 2019
W 2 Dorms re-open, 9:00 a.m. (Boarders must return by 7:00 p.m.)
Th 3 MODULE 4 begins
Sa 5 College Counseling Program, required for all students
Parents are encouraged to attend
M 21 No classes, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
    February 2019
M 11 MODULE 5 begins
M 18 No classes, Presidents Day
    March 2019
F-Su 1-3 On-Campus Weekend*
Sa 9 Module 5 weather makeup day
F 15 Spring break begins after last obligation (class, activity, athletic or theatre practice)
Sa 16  Dorms close, 12:00 p.m.
Su 31 Dorms re-open, 9:00 a.m. (Boarders must return by 7:00 p.m.)
    April 2019
M 1 MODULE 6 begins
F-Su 12-14 On-campus weekend*
Sa 27 Module 6 weather makeup day
    May 2019
M 6 MODULE 7 begins
M 27 No classes, Memorial Day
    June 2019
Sa 1 Module 7 weather makeup day
F 7 Graduation - All students required to attend commencement ceremony
    Dorms close at 4:00 p.m.
