Varsity lacrosse defeats Episcopal High School

In a true team effort, the Madeira varsity lacrosse team defeated Episcopal High School by a score of 12-9 this past Saturday, April 12.

Senior Madison White, who will be playing at Brown University this fall, led the Snails with five goals.

Senior Ingrid Boyum, who will be playing at the U.S. Naval Academy this fall, had an incredible game with 15 saves and an interception.

Brie Perkins ‘15 (3 goals, 2 assists), Becca Bishof ‘16 (2 goals), Calli Zarpas ’14 (1 goal), and Ingrid Braun ’15 (1 goal) also contributed to the team’s scoring.

“This was a huge win for the Madeira lacrosse program.” said Madeira Head Coach Katie Lamade. “The girls played disciplined lacrosse and showed a lot of character in digging deep to put a great 50 minutes of lacrosse together.”
