Three Madeira riders advance to IEA Finals

Madeira riders who competed in the IEA Zone Three finals faced a long, cold, and at times snowy day, but the riders rose to the occasion against the best riders from the mid-Atlantic. The results follow:

Charlotte Burch ’17 - Sixth place Varsity Intermediate over Fences, third place Varsity Intermediate on the Flat (Qualified for IEA Nationals), and Winner of the Zone Three Finals Sportsmanship Award

Jacey Albaugh ’18 - Second place Varsity Open over Fences (Qualified for IEA Nationals), seventh place Varsity Open Championship Class, and Awarded High Point Freshmen rider for Zone Three

Emily Leins ’17 - Second place Junior Varsity Novice on the Flat (Qualified for IEA Nationals)

Carter Ware ’16 - Seventh place Junior Varsity WTC on the Flat 

Casey Ruggerio (Middle School riding) - Seventh place Future Beginner WTC on the Flat
