Track & Field

The Madeira Track & Field team traveled to Episcopal High School on Thursday, April 22 to compete in the first meet of the season. The young team was able to gain experience competing against the competitive EHS Maroon. Scarlett Olsen ’24 placed second in the 800 Meter Run with a finishing time of 2:54.15. This meet concludes the competitive season for the Snails.

The athletic department would like to congratulate four graduating seniors: Stella Davis, Alexa Ekhelar, Izzy McMillan and Annabelle Stack on their contributions to the program this spring.



The Varsity Tennis team welcomed the Maroon of Episcopal High School on Thursday, April 29. The Snails ultimately fell to their opponent, 5-2. Lily Simmons ’21 earned a 10-2 win in her singles match. Carolyn Keen ’21 battled her opponent in a highly contested match spanning 2 hours. Keen was able to secure the match point and bested her opponent 10-8. Adelle Cheng ’21 won her expedition match, 10-1.

In the sole home match of the season, the program celebrated seniors, Adelle Cheng, Carolyn Keen, Rachel Rhee-Feitel, Lily Simmons and Emma Stone. The Snails will prepare to visit Saint James School of Hagerstown, MD on Friday, May 7 in their final match of the season.
