It is a time honored Madeira tradition that the senior class shares what they are thankful for during the last All School Meeting prior to Thanksgiving break. On November 21, 2014 the class of 2015 took to the stage to express their thanks to the community. Ramsey Aldrich ‘15, Senior Class Co-President, kicked off the remarks saying “I am thankful for God for getting me through each day, for my family for supporting me, for my friends who have shaped me into the person I am today, for Cate Fisher for helping me write speeches, for my boyfriend, for dance parties late at night, for my roommate for everything she does, for the Kardashians for keeping me sane, and for August Alsina. Finally, I am thankful that I can surround myself with people who do not see me as inferior because of my gender.” Girls followed with their own unique commentaries giving thanks to their families, friends, teachers, and more.
Many girls thanked family members, pets, teachers and advisors. As always it was a heartfelt and fun assembly. While we could not share every senior's list, enjoy hearing what our other senior leaders had to share.Student Life
