Swim and dive wins over Connolly School of the Holy Child

The Madeira varsity swim and dive team improved their dual meet record to 8-1 on Tuesday, January 28 with a win over Connolly School of the Holy Child 112-74. Individual event winners were:  Kylie Jordan ’16 (200 IM, 100 back) Farrin Saba ’15 (50 Free, 100 Free) Michaela Saunders ’14 (200 Free), Romi Gould ’17 (100 Fly) and Rachel Tate ’14 (100 Breaststroke). Madeira also won the 200 Freestyle Relay (Saba, Gould, Aerryn Rees ’14, Saunders)
“It was great to see our seniors swim so well at this meet” said Madeira coach Rod Montrie. “We added several of them to our state championship team roster.  It was great seeing Rachel Tate win the breaststroke and team captain Aerryn Rees swim on a winning relay”
Madeira’s final dual meet will be Tuesday, February, 4 against GDS and Oakcrest. The team will recognize their graduating swimmer before the meet.
