Students head to Kenya

June 15, 2012

Later this evening thirteen girls and three chaperones will board a plane and travel half way around the world. These girls are headed to Kenya for a "learnership" and undoubtedly a life changing and memorable experience.

While in Kenya girls will launch on newly designed "learnerships", immersion experiences coupled with hands-on learning opportunities in developing countries. Madeira has established partnerships in Kenya and girls will be able to work along-side female artisans, agri-business entrepreneurs, eco-tourism leaders and tribal elders to use classroom understanding for application in a country with significant opportunity.

You can follow the girls' adventures through the World Leadership School's blog. We wish the girls and chaperones safe travels and look forward to hearing about this amazing opportunity.
