Spanish club celebrated The Day of the Dead

November 11, 2012

Members of the Spanish Club created a beautiful altar for the Day of the Dead, the November 1 and 2 holiday known in Spanish as Día de los Muertos. The holiday, which is celebrated in Mexico and other countries around the world, brings family and friends together to honor, remember, and pray for friends and family members who have died.

The Spanish Club chose to remember Carlos Fuentes, one of Mexico’s most celebrated novelists who died in May 2012 at the age of 83. Their altar displayed pictures and information about Fuentes.
