Seniors recognized for outstanding achievements

All members of the Class of 2015 have unique talents and strengths. In the past several weeks, we have learned of several who have been recognized by outside organizations. Join us in congratulating them.

Gianna Duda ’15 earns the Betty Greer Scholarship

Gianna Duda was awarded the Betty Greer Scholarship by the Greater McLean Republican Women’s Club. Co-head of Young Republicans at Madeira this year, Gianna was chosen for the scholarship based on her volunteer work, academic achievements, and other accomplishments. The scholarship is named after Betty Greer, a life member and past president of the GMRWC. 

Bridget Duru ’15 receives the A Better Chance Academic Achievement Award

In recognition of her outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated leadership abilities, Bridget Duru received the A Better Chance Academic Achievement Award. 

Katharine Jiang ’15 receives the McLean Rotary Club Youth Service Award

The McLean Rotary Club presented Katharine Jiang with its annual Youth Service Award, a scholarship in recognition of her efforts serving the community through the CLIPUS Foundation, a non-profit which Katharine founded. CLIPUS is dedicated to helping children gain a more meaningful education by distributing school supplies to children who cannot afford them.
