Madeira Equestrian Team wins IEA Regional Championships

February 27-28, 2016 – The Madeira Equestrian Team competed in the IEA Regional Championships over the weekend with great success.

Congratulations to Coach Leonardi and the Madeira IEA team for winning the competitive team championship.  Their win qualifies the team to compete at IEA Zone 3 finals in Lexington, Virginia on March 12th and 13th.  A top three placing there will qualify the team for the National Championships in April.

The second day of IEA Regionals concluded with four additional Madeira riders qualifying for Zone Finals.  Ally Edwards, Emily Cyrway, Rachel Michael, and Bridget Vaughey will be joining Jacey Albaugh and Emily Leins as individual competitors at Zone Finals in Lexington, Virginia on March 12th and 13th.  Jacey Albaugh also qualified in her second individual class and community middle school rider Ella Stux also qualified.  Full results of the weekend’s action below.
