Madeira Equestrian Earns Spot At Nationals For Second Year In A Row

The Madeira Equestrian Team finished third at Interscholastic Equestrian Association Zone Finals over the weekend, earning a spot at the IEA National Finals for the second year in a row.

Team riders Jacey Albaugh '18 in Open, Ally Edwards '18 in Intermediate, Bridget Vaughey '19 in Novice, and Mikayla Conolly '20 in Beginner will be making their way to Lexington, Virginia, in April to represent the Madeira Equestrian program and compete against the top teams and riders in the country at National Finals.  

Ava Brugger '19 and Bridget Vaughey '19 also both advanced to IEA Nationals in their respective individual classes. 

"Everyone rode really well," said Madeira IEA Coach Jessica Leonardi. "[The team] really stepped up to the challenge and rode each horse to the best of their ability."
