The Madeira Field Hockey and Volleyball teams will be hosting donation drives in an effort to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas. The teams plan to collect toiletry items at both the Field Hockey and Volleyball Independent School Play Days this Saturday, September 9, 2017.
All collected donations will go to directly support the Make It Fit Foundation for Autism, an organization that is partnering with FEMA and the Houston Society for Autism. The supplies will then be distributed to families of autistic and developmentally challenged children that have been affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
The ISL Field Hockey Play Day is set for this Saturday at 9:00 am at The Madeira School, and the ISL Volleyball Play Day will be hosted this Saturday at 9:30 am at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. Each school that is scheduled to compete in both play days have been asked to bring donations for the drive.
If you would like to help Madeira Athletics give back to those in need, please bring toiletry items to the Hurd Athletic Center at the ISL Play Day this Saturday. If you have a question about the donation drives, please email firstname.lastname@example.org (Field Hockey) or email@example.com (Volleyball).
