Kylie is the most decorated swimmer in Madeira history. In August 2015, Kylie qualified for the 2016 United States Swimming Olympic trials that will take place June 26 - July 3. In her four years, she has never lost an individual race at Metros or VISAAs. She holds the Metro record for 100 butterfly and the 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 200 individual medley VISAA records. She is the only swimmer in VISSA history to swim eight finals and break eight records.
"We have been very fortunate to have had several outstanding swimmers in our program over the years including All-Met and Virginia State Swimmers of the Year, but Kylie has reach a level that has surpassed them all," remarked Coach Montrie. "Her senior season was nothing short of remarkable."
The Madeira 200-yard freestyle relay, comprised of Izzy Gati '19, Giovi Moriarty '18, Maddie Heilbrun '18, and Kylie, earned All-Met honors as well with their time of 1:34.47, and Maddie Heilbrun and Izzy Gato earned honorable mention.
Way to go, Snails!
