Equestrian IEA Team Places First Overall at Hazelwild Farms

Equestrian Places First at Hazelwild Farm

In their first show of the year, Madeira Equestrian's IEA team earned first place overall in the upper school team competition at Hazelwild Farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia, this weekend! Each of the IEA team members moved up to a higher division this year in the competition, and their hard work helped them step up to challenges of the higher division.

 

Individual results were as follows:

Varsity Open - Ava Brugger '19 placed 2nd on the flat and 2nd over fences. Ally Edwards '18 placed 5th on the flat and 3rd over fences. 

Varsity Intermediate - Bridget Vaughey '19 placed 2nd on the flat and 4th over fences. Emma Knisley '18 placed 4th on the flat and 5th over fences. 

Novice -  Sydney Newburn '19 placed 6th on the flat and 2nd over fences. Mikayla Connolly '20 placed 1st on the flat and 2nd over fences. Eliza Cart '20 placed 5th on the flat and 4th over fences. 

Beginner - Ella Stux '21 placed 2nd in the WT and 1st in the WTC. Kat Downing '19 placed 5th in the WT and 6th in the WTC. 

Middle School Future Beginner - Ana Flynn was 3rd in the WT and 2nd in the WTC. Natalie Pearce was 2nd in the WT and 3rd in the WTC.
