Dayna Bailey '13 accepted to Governor's Japanese Academy

Dayna Bailey '13 was selected to attend the 25th Annual Virginia Governor's Japanese Academy at Randolph Macon College. Dayna will be enrolled in this three week course to learn "Japanese language and culture throught hands-on activities and real-life situations, making language acquisition more meaningful, practical, and lasting" according to the press release.

Dayna applied for this extraordinary opportunity over six months ago and had to be nominated by her foreign language teacher. She was selected among applicants from across the state. Only 38 students were awarded this opportunity.
