2014 One Acts Festival was truly one of a kind

April 17, 2014

The Advanced Theatre Production class held the 2014 One Acts Festival on April 10-11. The festival was originally part of the Stage Directing class for many years, but in 2012-2013 it evolved into Advanced Theater Production when a directing and a design component were incorporated. Now in its second year, students in Advanced Theater Production in the directing and design tracks select the scripts, and work together as a team to create, cast, and direct the productions. This year’s production team and cast provided an amazing weekend of intimate theater in the round for the community.

Laney Flaesch ’16 chose to perform excerpts from Laughing Wild by Neil Simon.

Breann Burrell ’14 chose to direct an adaptation of The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman

Kristin Joostema ’16 chose to direct The Unknown Part of the Ocean by Sheri Wilner

Jody Baik ’14 chose to direct Please Have a Seat and Someone Will Be With You Shortly by Garth Wingfield

Kelleen Moriarty ’15 chose to direct an adaptation of The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman
