The Centennial Campaign: The Way Ahead
graduated from Madeira in 1975 and Hollins University in 1979. She is married with three children and has recently moved back to the D.C. area. After volunteering to help with her thirtieth reunion at Madeira, she joined the Development Office as a major gifts officer and is currently serving as the executive director of advancement. Louise's background is in sales and marketing for large corporations and advertising agencies and most recently owned her own business, a decorative furniture company. Louise's main responsibility is to help raise money for the Centennial Campaign. She travels and interacts with Madeira alumnae and parents and truly enjoys traveling to meet the incredible women who have graduated from Madeira. She can be reached at 703.556.8219.
is Madeira's director of planned giving. She is an estate planning attorney by training, having practiced law in both New York and Washington before transitioning into planned giving work. Prior to joining Madeira, Debra held planned giving positions at the National Wildlife Federation, the American Red Cross, and most recently, directed the planned giving effort at the American Diabetes Association. She is married with two young daughters and appreciates Madeira's focus on educating young women for the future. She can be reached at 703.556.8335.
joined Madeira's Development Office as principal gifts officer in 2007 after many years as an administrator, teacher, and fundraiser in independent schools. He has also worked and traveled in several foreign countries, including Scotland, Greece, Zimbabwe, and Nepal. At Madeira, his major responsibility is to raise money for the Centennial Campaign. As the father of an alumna of a women's college, he appreciates the focus and empowerment that women's education provides. Annual Giving & Operations
is Madeira's director of annual giving. She has corporate experience in telecommunications business development and marketing. Not a stranger to independent schools, she graduated from Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, FL and she currently has children enrolled in a local day school and at a New England boarding school. She has been an active school volunteer in board service, marketing, strategic planning and fundraising. As a mother of three girls, she supports the mission of Madeira to develop independent young women. She has her BA from The American University and her MBA from Southern Methodist University. assistant director of annual and parent giving, works with alumnae and parents to support The Madeira Fund. Hunter also has several family connections to Madeira, both his great-aunt, Elmeda Ansell ’21, and his cousin, Tracy Ansell ’50 are Madeira girls! Most recently, he worked on Capitol Hill in the Office of Congressman Christopher Shays (R-CT). Hunter is a graduate of Colgate University, where he majored in political science, and before that he attended The Kent School, an independent boarding school in Connecticut. joined Madeira as the coordinator of gifts and acknowledgements in July 2007, bringing with her over three years of experience in the fields of development, marketing and event planning. Prior to joining the team at Madeira, Elizabeth worked in the Development and Alumni Relations Office of American University in Washington, DC. She is a graduate of American University, where she earned her B.S. degrees in public relations and political science. came to Madeira as an office assistant in September 2006. She graduated from Madeira in 2006 and is currently attending George Mason University. Her sister, Arielle is a graduate of the class of 2008 at Madeira and her parents served as the 2007-2008 co-Presidents of the Parents Association. Noelle has enjoyed switching from the student perspective to the working perspective at Madeira and is learning a lot about the alumnae relations, the development, and the event planning aspects of the school.is the development assistant in the Alumnae & Development Office. She graduated from Madeira in 2003 and went on to George Washington University to receive her B.A. in International Affairs with concentrations in Conflict/Security and Middle East studies. She is currently working towards her M.S. in Public Policy – Peace Operations from George Mason University. Divya had previous experience interning for Amnesty International, and various political action groups. Alumnae Relations
a 1983 graduate of Madeira, has returned to her alma mater with years of fundraising and special event experience to join the Development Department as Director of Alumnae Relations and Reunion Giving. After graduation, Holland attended Simmons College before spending a few years working in New York City. Until recently, she has been living in Atlanta, Georgia where she worked in the Special Events Department of the High Museum of Art, held Chapter, Regional and National fundraising positions with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and this past Spring volunteered to help with her 25th Reunion. “Reconnecting with classmates for my 25th was a thrill and reinforced what I already knew. Having the opportunity to attend Madeira meant so much to me and continues to impact my life in only positive ways. The friendships made, the experiences and the opportunities Madeira has provided continue to weave themselves through my everyday. I am thrilled to be back on campus in a role that allows me to combine my professional background and the one place that is near and dear to my heart. the assistant director of alumnae relations, came to Madeira in February 2005. A communications graduate of Ohio University, Kelly has worked at the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus as an "Outreach Demonstrator" and has studied media literacy at Appalachian State University in pursuit of her master's degree. Kelly enjoys working with alumnae of Madeira as she encourages alumnae to be active members of their high school community no matter how long they have been away from the campus or how many miles separate them.
