At minimum, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in the subject they wish to teach. Candidates with teaching experience and/or camp experience are preferred. Most teachers are residential (live in the dorms) and receive an additional stipend for weekend work. Day teachers work at camp Monday through Friday and Opening Weekend. Teaching Assistant - Culinary Exploration (Job Description) This position has been filled
Must have an interest in teaching and experience with young people. Culinary experience not necessary. See sample teacher schedule above.
Must have completed one year of college and must have residential life and/or camp experience. RAs supervise the girls in the dorms and plan afternoon, evening, and weekend activities. View the sample RA/Junior RA schedule.
Must be current 11th or 12th grade students at The Madeira School. Jr. RAs work with RAs in their dorms and assist in planning, organizing, and supervising afternoon, evening, and weekend activities. View the sample Jr. RA schedule.

Teaching Applicants are asked to complete the online application and email a copy of their resume to the director and to list three references – two professional and one personal. We will contact your references if we are interested in hiring you; there is no need for them to write a letter of recommendation. However, if you do have a written letter, you may send that to the director along with your resume. You must supply both phone numbers and email addresses for all three references.
RA and Jr. RA applicants must also complete the online application. They are also asked to provide three references by non-family members who can attest to your qualifications as a young woman able to work with teenagers and with other camp staff. Please ask them to return the completed RA reference form directly to the Girls First! Office via email to email@example.com.
