How to Apply

Teaching Applicants are asked to complete the online application and email a copy of their resume to the director and to list three references – two professional and one personal. We will contact your references if we are interested in hiring you; there is no need for them to write a letter of recommendation. However, if you do have a written letter, you may send that to the director along with your resume. You must supply both phone numbers and email addresses for all three references.

RA and Jr. RA applicants must also complete the online application. They are also asked to provide three references by non-family members who can attest to your qualifications as a young woman able to work with teenagers and with other camp staff. Please ask them to return the completed RA reference form directly to the Girls First! Office via email to girlsfirst@madeira.org.

For your convenience an applicant forms checklist will be posted soon.

Applications for all positions are reviewed as they are submitted. We will contact you via email if we are interested in setting up an interview. Staff positions are filled on a rolling basis.

We welcome questions! Contact Girls First! Director, Cathryn Cleveland-Hirsch at 703-556-8323 or cclevelandhirsch@madeira.org.
