How to Apply
Teaching Applicants are asked to complete the online application and email a copy of their resume to the director. The application will ask for list two references – one professional and one personal. References will be contacted before hiring; there is no need for written letters of recommendation. However, if you do have a written letter, you may send that to the director along with your resume.
RA and Jr. RA applicants must also complete the online application. The application asks for two references by non-family members who can attest to your qualifications as a young woman able to work with teenagers and with other camp staff. Please ask them to return the completed reference form directly to the GirlsFirst Office via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
At minimum, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in the subject they wish to teach. Candidates with teaching experience and/or camp experience are preferred. Teachers are to introduce the girls to many aspects of the subject in a hands-on, experiential, learning atmosphere. Teachers also teachers supervise their campers on an all-day field trip as well as prepare them for the Student Showcase the last day of camp. In addition to working weekdays, Teachers work Opening and Closing Day and can live in the dorms during camp if needed.

Resident Advisor (RA)
You may apply for one, two, or all sessions, however, priority will be given to those who can work both programs and all sessions (if applicable).
