Important Dates

2016-2017 Important Dates calendar is posted below. Please keep these important dates in mind as you make travel arrangements.

When booking flights, schedule travel at least two hours after the noted release time, three hours for international travel. Girls may not depart until after their last obligation (class, activity, sport or theater practice). Please check the calendar for the most up-to-date information.

** Possible Saturday Classes are dates held for possible Saturday classes in the event a make-up day is needed because of snow or other school closures. All students must be available to attend school this day if needed. *On-campus Weekends are weekend in which all boarding students are required to stay on campus. There will be school events and outings planned for this weekend.

F-Su 2-4 On-campus weekend*
M 5 Labor Day - Classes WILL be held
F-Su 9-11 On-campus weekend*
    October 2016
F-Sa 7-8 Family Weekend
M 10 No classes, Columbus Day
T 11 MODULE 2 begins
    November 2016
Sa 5 Module 2 "snow" makeup day
M 14 MODULE 3 begins
F 18 Thanksgiving break begins after last obligation 
Sa 19 Dorms close, 12:00 p.m.
Su 27 Dorms re-open, 9:00 a.m. (Boarders must return by 7:00 p.m.)
    December 2016
F-Su 9-11 On-campus weekend*
Sa 17 Module 3 "snow" makeup day
Tu 20 Winter break begins after last obligation
W 21 Dorms close, 12:00 p.m.
    January 2017
M 2 Dorms re-open, 9:00 a.m. (Boarders must return by 7:00 p.m.)
Tu 3 MODULE 4 begins
Sa 7 College Counseling Program, required for all students. 
Parents are encouraged to attend
M 16 No classes, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Sa 28 Module 4 "snow" makeup day

M 6 MODULE 5 begins
F-Su 10-12 On-campus weekend*
M 20 No classes, Presidents Day
    March 2017
Sa 4 Module 5 "snow" makeup day
F 10 Spring break begins after last obligation

M 27 MODULE 6 begins

M 29 No classes, Memorial Day
    June 2017
F 2 Graduation - All students required to attend commencement ceremony

2017-2018 Fall Varsity Tryouts and Auditions, Move In, and Orientation Dates  

    August 2017
M-F 21-25 Optional Strength & Conditioning for new and returning student athletes 
(Dorms are not open.)
Th 24 Invited boarding student leaders move in, 3:00-6:00 p.m.; boarding and day student leader training begins 6:00 p.m.
F-Sa 25-26 Student Leader Training continues, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
Su 27 Preseason/tryouts begin. Check-in 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
REQUIRED for VARSITY fall athletes and all actors trying out for the fall play. 
    Boarding Varsity athletes and actors move in, 8:00-11:00 a.m. 
M-W 28-30 Tryouts for varsity sports and auditions for fall play continue
W 30 Returning boarders move-in and day students check-in, 3:00-6:00 p.m.; Required for ALL returning students
    Fall varsity tryouts and play auditions continue
Th 31 New boarding students move in, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.; New day students check-in 11:00 a.m.-12:00p.m. 
    New student and parent programming beginning at noon
    Required Orientation programming for all returning students
