Dean of Students
The Dean of Students Office oversees a variety of aspects of student life at Madeira. Best known for being responsible for residential life, student activities, student government and discipline, the DOS maintains overall student safety and conduct. The office works to ensure that all members of the student community are living and functioning in a safe and comfortable environment where they can learn and grow as young women.
Like the other members of the DOS office, the Dean works closely with the three students heads of school: Head of Boarding, Head of Day, and Head of Judiciary. With the Dean of Students, the three heads of school make up the Executive Committee. When student discipline arises, the Executive Committee handles each case individually in a fair and consistent manner.
