Senior Year
Learn how to prepare gourmet desserts at a four-star restaurant, teach special needs children, conduct scientific research, attend a trial, write copy for an advertising campaign, work on architectural blueprints, write for a newspaper, or care for exotic animals – these are a few of the 300-plus Co-Curriculum placement opportunities available to seniors.
Senior Placements
The senior Co-Curriculum program allows students to focus on their potential career and personal interests. An internship is selected from one of the following categories:
- Business/Economics
- Communications
- Education
- Government/Politics
- Legal/Judicial
- Museums
- Science
- Social Science
- Technology
- Visual and Performing Arts
Placements have included museums, law firms, architecture firms, brokerage firms, animal care facilities, interior design, jewelry design, radio and television stations, adolescent crisis centers, research laboratories, hospital emergency rooms, and counseling centers. Rising seniors are also welcome to bring in their own ideas for internships. Students also have the opportunity to learn about senior internships at the Junior/Senior showcase. At this evening event, current seniors explain their jobs to rising seniors.
