We strive to offer students, faculty, staff, and other members of the Madeira community a variety of opportunities for travel abroad.
School Partnerships
The Madeira School partners with several schools around the world. These exciting partnerships allow us to learn about other cultures, customs, and languages while getting to know other students from around the world. School partnerships come in several forms.
Exchange partnerships
Students at Madeira have the opportunity to travel to and learn at schools overseas. Conversely, students from other schools may come to Madeira to experience our school and to experience life in the Washington, D.C., area. Many Madeira students choose to travel to exchange schools when Madeira is not in session.
Service partnerships
Students from Madeira partner with students from schools in other countries to exchange ideas and work together on service projects.
Virtual partnerships
Travel is not the only means for school exchanges. Our global portal allows students to exchange ideas and information via online communications.
