International Students

Every year, Madeira enrolls students from all around the world. Our community embraces students, faculty, and staff of every ethnic, cultural, racial, and religious background. We welcome and encourage international families to apply to Madeira. Below you will find information about the application process.

Testing

The SSAT (Secondary School Admissions Test) is required of all students applying to The Madeira School. To register for the SSAT log on to www.ssat.org.

Interview

Whenever possible we encourage families to visit our campus. We are happy to schedule a visit by email or fax. If you are unable to visit our campus, a telephone interview can be arranged. Deadlines & Fees

Applications and all supporting documents must be received or postmarked by January 31. Applications received after January 31 will be considered on a space-available basis. A nonrefundable application fee of $120 is required. If an application is submitted electronically via fax, the application fee should be mailed within 48 hours after submission. In addition, application fees may be wired to the school. Please contact the Admission Office for details.

Requirements

Stateside Guardian

All international students are required to have a guardian living in the United States who can be contacted in case of an emergency.

Health Insurance

All international students are required to have some form of international health insurance.

I-20

The school issues I-20s after a student is accepted to Madeira.
